Yoko Kanno was born on March 19, 1964 in Miyagi Prefecture, Japan. Shes a famous composer and keyboardist known for her musical parts in anime titles to name some, "Tank!" from Cowboy Bebop, "Yakusoku wa Iranai" from Escaflowne, "Gravity" from Wolf's Rain, and "Inner Universe" from Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex. She was the lead member of a band called The Seatbelts which was formed for the sole purpose of making the Cowboy Bebop soundtrack *and may I add, it was beautiful*.She not only made music for anime, but video games, too. She's made music for Koei and Bandai games and a Dreamcast game.
But wait, thats not all. Besides anime and games, Kanno have also composed for live-actions and CMs (television advertisements or commercials).
..and who is this Gabriela Robin? Rumor is, this new signee by Kanno, is Kanno herself under a pseudonym.
She has attended Otakon and Anime Expo in 1999 *which i missed and now I cry every night*, as well as AX NY in 2002.
Ragnarok Online II a new installment to the Ragnarok Online series, will feature some of her music.
