Profile
Getting its start in Hiroshima and eventually moving its base of operations to Kansai in 2001, the rock band YOGURT-pooh first began as a project for school friends. With all the original members being students in Ritsumeikan University, the band was known to create simple yet addictive and quirky pop rock. However, YOGURT-pooh has gone through a multitude of line-up changes during its existence and, consequently, the sound has changed somewhat from its original form. Yet throughout the changes, the band has grown a loyal following for its solid live shows and music. After a multitude of single and album releases and two successful nation-wide tours, YOGURT-pooh went through a long period of inactivity. However, since then, with the joining of a new member to create its present lineup, the band has seemingly started back up again to the delight of its fans.

Thoughts
YOGURT-pooh has an interesting sound that seems to change depending on the current band members. Their songs have a consistently quirky sound about them, and range from slow rock to pop rock songs. In many ways their songs are quite reminiscent of rock bands from the 1970s. If you enjoy quirky, odd rock then you may enjoy this band.
