Wizards’ Hymn first started in 2001 under the name "WHIP". Both Kensuke Imai and Toshimasa Kato were high school students at the time. Naturally attracted to metal music, they began to compose songs in 2003 and changed the name of the band to Wizards’ Hymn. Shortly afterwards Kimiko Shirao and Tsutomu Aruga joined the band.

In 2004, the band released three demo CDs free of charge. They were soon overwhelmed with requests for their demos from fans around the world. Some of their songs also recieved air time on radio stations in Japan, USA, Germany, Chile, Ecuador, Bosnia, and Herzegovnia!

In 2006, they released their first album titled "Hymnal" under Black-listed records.

Thoughts

I was very impressed with Wizards’ Hymn. Their vocalist was very good and their music is excellent. Major props need to go to the guitar and drum players! They are spectacular together. I highly recommend this band!
