Kawase first started her career in 1995 under the persona of Tommy February6 and as a member of the band, Brilliant Green. She soon came to be a huge sensation mainly with teenagers. Several of her fans also considered her their "idol". Much like PuffyAmiyumi, Tommy has been a huge influence not only in music, but the fashion industry as well. Her outfits often become the latest fashion trends.

In 2003, Kawase ventured onto a great project. She announced her new persona Tommy Heavenly6. Unlike the popy February6, Heavenly6 has a more gothic-punk image. She released her first single as Heavenly6 in 2003. Since then she has released two more singles and a album! Kawase still continues to participate as February6 as well!

Thoughts

I’m pretty familiar with Kawase’s many projects, and I must say I like Heavenly6 the most! Her songs are fun, catchy, and have a nice rock beat to them. She is pretty similar to the singer Avril Lavigne in this persona. Now, if you feel like trying February6, you’ll be a bit surprised. February6 is the opposite of Heavenly6. Its more popish and cute. So depending what you are looking for, Kawase has tried to cover all bases for you ;) Below are some samples from her Heavenly6 work!
