Profile

Super Junior (also called SuJu for short) are a one-of-a-kind Korean boyband consisting of 13 members. The group initially debuted in 2005 with 12 members, 11 of which were Korean and 1 being Chinese (member Han Kyung). In 2006 SM Entertainment announced the 13th and final member, Kyu Hyun. Several of the members, including Hee Chul, Ki Bum, and Shi Won, had already made appearances on television before the group’s official debut. They continue to act and VJ music programs.

After debuting with their first single "TWINS (Knock Out)" and releasing full-length album "SuperJUnior05", Super Junior collaborated with fellow SM Towners and successful boyband TVXQ, releasing the single "Show Me Your Love." 2006 saw the release of their first single album "U", followed by "Rokkukko" in 2007 by members of Super Junior-T. Like other SM Entertainment artists, Super Junior have contributed to the SM TOWN albums released every summer and winter. They also have a number of songs in various drama OSTs.

In April 2007, 4 members were involved in a car accident caused by the driver speeding. Kyu Hyun and Ee Teuk were severely injured, while Shin Dong and Eun Hyuk escaped with cuts and bruises.

Currently there are two subgroups of Super Junior - Super Junior K.R.Y. and Super Junior T. Super Junior K.R.Y. consists of members Kyu Hyun, Ryeo Wook, and Yeh Sung; Super Junior T (the T standing for "trot") consists of members Ee Teuk, Hee Chul, Kang In, Shin Dong, Sung Min, and Eun Hyuk.

Thoughts

Super Junior is a cool idol pop group composed entirely of boys. Their songs are very catchy and will leave you dancing along. Like many big bands, each member takes turns singing in the songs, and the entire group sings during the chorus.
