SS501 was formed in 2005 under the care of DSP entertainment, the compagny for this band in order to bring new energy to the industry. They consist of 5 young good looking boys, not older then 20 (the oldest one would be 20).They first got media attention not only for their talents but because they were "released" right after TVXQ (dong bang shin ki) and was said to be TVXQ’s rival.
Besides their crazy concerts and show, some members of the band get roles in Korean dramas and movies.
Fact: SS501’s members and TVXQ’s members are good friends. Heo Young Saeng is close friends with Jae Joong, Hero from TVXQ.

My Thoughts
SS501 is a boy pop band similar to bands like V6 or Backstreet Boys. Usually one or two boys will lead in vocals while the rest will back up important lyrics or chorus’. It sounds really good and adds a lot to the music. Their music has some very catchy melodies as well!Click to read/add your opinion!
