Profile
Soil and "Pimp" Sessions first formed in Tokyo, in 2001. By 2003, their popularity at the club scene won them a spot in the Fuji Rock Festival. Recognizing the bands talent, Victor Entertainment presented the band with a contract. Their first album "Pimpin" recieved good reviews and the band was invited to further festivals like Asagiri Jam Festival, that summer.
By 2005, the band had released their first major album "Pimp Master" and traveled to the UK to perform on Giles Petersons radio show "Worldwide". The band was so well recieved that later that year, BBC awarded them with the "John Peel Play More Jazz Award"!
The band is now recognized worldwide as a superior "death jazz" band. They have performed in 12 European countries, participated in international festivals, and released "Pimp Master" in Europe!

Thoughts
Soil and "Pimp" Sessions have a very unique style. Their music is meant to stand out and catch your attention. The band has been quoted stating that they dont want their music to be simply there to be admired. They have broke away from those "rules", and thus sometimes their music will sound agitated or very energetic.
