Profile

Sleep Walker first formed in 1998. In January, 1999, that band participated in BLUENOTE60’s anniversary album and used it as their major debut work. The following year, they signed a contract with ESPECIAL RECORDS and released their first single. Their music was an immediate hit, and word spread quickly about the band’s talent.

In 2001, Sleep Walker was invited to perform for a week with the London based band, JAZZCAFE. Impressed by the band, JAZZCAFE invited them back in 2003 for a four day tour. 2003 also marked their first major album debut, titled "Sleep Walker".

The following years proved to be quite successful as the band traveled in Europe and Japan. In 2006, they finally announced the arrival of their second album "The Voyage".

Thoughts

Sleep Walker is a good jazz band. Their songs consist mostly of contemporary jazz and are tightly composed.
