Considered a rap activist, peace advocate, music explorer, he was born in 1975 in Tokyo. As a child, he lived in Tanzania, England, and Japan. When he was 15, he went to California and soon was involved in creating art. After a move to Berkeley, for educational purposes, he became immersed and was nurtured by dozens of creative hiphop acts. In 1996 Shing02's music made its way back to Japan with much support from those in his homeland. Currently residing in Oakland, he is working on music with his new group named "FREELANCERS UN1TED".kknurashima
