Combining elements of rock, pop, opera and electronic music with distinctive vocals, Shilfee and Tulipcorobockles is the solo project of Full. Known for his quirky and slightly strange lyrics and artwork, he was previously the vocalist of Guniw Tools and Nookicky, releasing numerous albums and playing lives in Japan, Tibet, Hong Kong and the US. After Nookicky went on hiatus, Full began recording and performing under the name Shilfee and Tulipcorobockles.In December 2004 Shilfee’s first album "Chichiro" was released, which included the PV for the song "Dead Leaves", and this was followed by a few live dates around Japan and Tibet. (Full frequently visits Tibet whether he’s playing a live there or not and often writes about his travels in his blog.) Fans were impressed by these shows, which included a fake frog and a cat playing instruments and Full in his somewhat bizzare outfit from "Dead Leaves", and they got very good reviews.
In January 2007, Shilfee released another album, "Newolf". The album saw yet more unusual and cryptic lyrics, many of them in English, put together with some haunting and some more upbeat music, which again impressed Shilfee fans.

Thoughts
Shilfee and Tulipcorobockles is a wonderful solo project from Full, and even though I really like his work with both Guniw Tools and Nookicky as well, I think that Shilfee is better. Full experiments with his voice more, ranging from a deep voice on songs like "Kutabire Kakashi" to operatics on "Dead Leaves" to a softer, higher voice on "Gnarled Pity". The music is also a little more experimental in places and also really beautiful and melancholic at times, on songs such as "Safety Sacred Mountain".
