Screw is a Visual Kei band formed in March of 2006 and began activities the following month with their first live. Originally composed of 4 members, Byou, Kazuki, Yuuto and JIN, they released their first maxi single titled "Nejireta shiso" the following May. It was limited to 1,000 copies through the label Speed Disk Records. After it became sold out, a 2nd press was reissued in July of the same year. Their first mini album was released the following July, titled "Nanairo no reienka".

After several successful lives, the band switched labels in mid 2007 to indie PSC, and their support guitarist Manabu became an official member. Soon followed the mini albums "VENOM" and "VIRUS". The band continues to hold many lives and experiences growing fame.

Thoughts

Screw, like many other bands, have many unappealing songs, and a few I quite enjoy. Byou’s vocal can be very rough at times and does not mix properly with the music, while in some tracks it does excelently. This band is sure too good for any fan of scream rock and such and funny sounds from the vocalist.
