ROOM#NUMBER Vocals/Bass: Tanaka Ichirou Started: 2004 Status: Active ProfileROOM#NUMBER was created by multi-instrumentalist Tanaka Ichirou in late 2004 as a solo-project for the ex-JILS bassist.Born October 17th 1980, a young Ichirou got his start in music at age 17 when he joined DAS:VASSER. A band made up of members Mizutani Kyouhei on vocals, Matsuoka Hideaki on bass and Yamaoka Tarou on drums. After departing ways with DAS:VASSER in 2001, Ichirou along with female vocalist Yamada Youko created babybaby. Also in 2001 he became a bassist for the band JILS as well. A few years later with JILS on hiatus which lead to there permanent disbandment later on, ROOM#NUMBER was born. This new creation not only gave Ichirou his chance to take on more creative liberties that he never had before but it also helped him to continue on with the style DAS:VASSER conveyed. For the time spent with them Ichirou took on the role of songwriter giving DAS:VASSER an alternative rock sound. In 2005 two mini albums titled SUN ROAD released on February 2nd and JUNO released on October 3rd were both stylized with a combination of electronic elements, powerpop and alternative rock.
Currently Ichirou is a member of a new band called Kain. Pebblelita ThoughtsROOM#NUMBER provides an interesting mix of soft rock and pop music. Their approach often gives their music an Indies feel, but each piece has solid melodies and lyrics.
