Getting their start in Saitama, the band Rin Toshite Shigure (also romanized as Ling tosite shigure) can be identified immediately by its unique twin vocals that can range from soft singing to high-pitched loud screams and its individual melodic rock sound that can drastically change its form, even just through one song. Not only is the band very individual and fast-moving in their music, but they are also moving quickly in their musical career. Holding their first nationwide tour only 2 years after forming, the band decided to form their own label and released their first album a year after that. Since then, Rin Toshite Shigure has grown very popular in the Japanese indie rock world. In 2006, the band has released a very successful mini-album and performed at COUNTDOWN JAPAN.sarcastic
Thoughts
I do not enjoy listening to Rin Toshite Shigure at all. Their music is decent, but the vocals are bound to give you a headache. It is like listening to your death tone friends singing a duet. Its just rather horrid, the vocalists can’t carry a tune, and are heavily inexperienced.Click to read/add your opinion!
