Artist: AyakaSinging and performing in numerous high school concerts, her talent was acknowledged and at the young of 18, her career began. In 2006, her first single, I believe, was released and was also the closing theme for the immensely popular Japanese drama, Rondo, which really gave her career the boost it needed. The single itself sold over 236,000 copies and her career has been climbing higher eversince. Her debut album, First Message,(released in November of 2006) has sold over a million copies up to date.
If youre a final fantasy fan, youll be hearing from her shortly. Her latest single, Why, was the chosen theme song for the PSP game, Crises Core: Final Fantasy VII. People, I love this song. Ayakas voice has a strong, independant and a very able sound, its just natural. The song has a nice calming effect, but at the same time it is very heavy, passionate and inspiring. The song tells a story that you want to hear. What amazes me the most about this particular song is the fact that it is a 19 year old singing it.
Her other track, CLAP & LOVE, is spunky, catchy and enthusiastic; a total opposite from the first track, Why. It sounds more her age and her voice is wonderful to listen to, it really lightens the mood.
I will definitely be staying in the loop with Ayaka. Shes the raw Japanese talent Ive been craving!! I hope youll give her a listen, Im sure you wont be dissapointed.
