Release Date: 01/09/08The concepts for "Sublimis" was taken from the biblical tales of Grigoris, acclaimed fallen angels after they became involved with mortal women, among other terrible things, and their love. The lyrics are quite creative and admirable once its theme is understood.
The opening and closing songs, "Omnia" and "Sanktus" respectably, are instrumental pieces of symphonies with a calm choir blend. From there on, it differs.
"Synthesis" starts with a choir as well, seducing you into a serene state, and about 30 seconds into the song, it morphs into a blast of delightful electronics. GPKs vocals in this song is quite hard and firm.
Getting into the third track, "Metempsykhosis", GPKs vocals are different, harmonizing into his lyrics. The name is very fitting to this song. You can also hear a wonderful short guitar solo. The echo effects make it a bit hard to understand the lyrics, but adds a nice touch to the song.
"Immaculatus" starts the same as the other songs, but unlike the first track, it steadly changes into a full energy electronic song. GPKs voice has a lot more force in this one. The guitar is more noticable as well.
"Thanatosis", again starts with a great symphony, but what I really enjoy about this song is the lyrics. Again, with a firm voice, GPK describes the Gregoris quite well.
In "Sublimis" GPKs voice is really soft but assertive. The transitions within the song are interestingly good.
The volume of the songs is one minus to this album, but if listened with care and/or with headphones, the quality is quite different. The lack of variation within the music could also count as a minus too. Despite any devoid, I highly recommend this to any fan, or if you are simply into dance electronic and dance music.
