Artist: The Candy Spooky TheaterThe title track is a fun, bouncy song, with the same feel to it as songs like "Devilish Kidnapper" and "TRICK or TREAT". The strange organ and harpsicord synths give the song a creepier undertone and Jack Spookys vocals compliment the music well. The lyrics are horror-themed as usual but they also have a fun element to them and arent completely serious. The sound quality isnt as good as on their other releases, but due to certain circumstances, that was unavoidable.
"Devilish Kidnapper NEW HORROR TASTE MIX" is track two, and is a remix of the song "Devilish Kidnapper", which originally appeared on the bands first single "Pumpkins Scream in the Dead of Night Parade". Im not usually a fan of bands just remixing songs and putting them on another single, but I really, really like this one. Theyve actually re-recorded the song and added a little speech at the beginning as well, so its pretty different. Theyve also added more guitars, whilst still keeping the fun and mischievious sound of the song, and I think that was a good decision because the track sounds better with them. Its also the first song that you can really hear Kiddys guitar playing on and I must say, hes a good guitarist.
Overall, this single is a little short and the sound quality has suffered a little, but the songs themselves are great and I highly recommend it to anyone who likes TCST or spooky, fun rock music.
