Overview
I may be somewhat late in reviewing this, but it must be done, because it is incredably good. This is their newest single, called Planetarium, released July 21, 2005 by Toys Factory.
Track Listing
1. Planetarium - 8/10
Considering this song is named after the single's title, you would assume it would be the best song on the single. It almost never works out this way, but this song is still VERY good. The music seems typical of Bump of Chicken, but the vocals seem ... different. It does not seem to have that edge that the vocalist usually has. Still, a nice song nonetheless.
2. Galaxy Express - 8.5/10
I suppose maybe I have not kept up much on the change in the lead vocalist's smoother style, but the vocals are much the same. I gave this an extra half a point because of the mandolin playing.
3. Ika (Hidden Track)- 9/10
This single also included a secret track from "The Gekishibu Boys," Bump of Chicken's alter-ego boy band. Lots of unison singing and harsh shouted interludes of (ika! ika! (loosely translated as go! go!)) are here to be found. My favorite track on the single.
