Release Date: 09/10/2004"Visitor", a 2-minute opening track, is the introduction to Leaflet. The harmonizing done by the members in this song was especially soothing and nicely put together. At 7 minutes in length is "Fuwari", the second track. gFuwarih combined the workings of the bands soft pop and rock side by contrasting a slow and simple verse section with a more rock based chorus. Though the more heavy guitars seemed to overpower the lighter toned vocals, the song was well written overall and was a definite standout. "no way!" was more radio friendly overall but the band still had its signature instrumental workings throughout. Guitar melodies on gHikoukih brought the album to a dynamic close, and when paired with the vocal harmonies made this an amazing song to conclude the album.
When rounded up, the songs on Leaflet were all very well written for a band only just starting out. Pop chocolat surely showed promise after releases this album and it only makes me more curious as to how they evolved from this sound. In all pop chocolat is a great band for people looking for a different take on female fronted bands with an indie rock/pop style.
