Review

Alright, let’s go through this song by song, shall we?

Hyena - Starts out with Kai on the drums, all the music kicks in, and then... "WHOA" Ruki screams at you. Certainly this track grabs your attention right away. This is yet again a harder song, and quite enjoyable if you enjoy the vocalist screaming, and then switching to singing. Personally, I enjoy this very much. Ruki, the singer, makes sure that the change isn’t done badly.

Chizuru - This song starts out nice and slow, and it has a little soft drumming, and guitar. Then the guitar picks up with the rest of the music. It slows to have Ruki enter one again. Then you hear another voice kick in. It is a rather epic song really. Perfect if you’re in a mellow mood. The song does pick up, but from sound alone, it’s nice, dark, and twisty sounding. I really urge you to listen to the bass too for this song.

Defective Tragedy - Starts out calm, and with some rather badly said English words peppered around the song and then record scratching comes into the song. You really have to hand it to the boys who do background though; they can scream their heads off just as well as the vocalist can. The guitar is great in this song, and probably almost as noticeable as Ruki’s background shouts.

Overall, I have to say this single is amazing. The GazettE are releasing a new album in the rather close future, and if this is a sign for things to come, well then it’s certainly something to run out and buy when it comes out. I give a nice round of applauds for these musicians; they just keep getting better with time.
