Profile
Remioromen is a fairly new band that started out in 2000. In 2002 the band held a live performance and sold out of their indies cd! In 2003, the band pushed further and released a mini-album, 2 singles, and their first major album! The band also began to perform live in Shibuya. Their songs also frequented the radio station FM802. In 2004, Remioromen toured around Japan and attended other special festivals like Count Down Japan. The band is now currently celebrating the release of their second album and is touring Japan again.
Thoughts
Remioromen is a great band with a classy style. Their music ranges from upbeat rock songs to slow laid back songs; it is a style very similar to the Straightener and Quruli. Overall, the bands performance is quite good! Ryota has a great voice that registers nicely in the higher octaves. Perhaps the one thing missing from this band is some outrageous guitar solos. Poor Ryoto has the job of both guitarist and vocalist so its pretty understandable that he is quite busy while performing as is. Overall, Remioromen seems to be off to a great start. Below is a sample of their song
Moratorium. Enjoy :)
