Profile
Redballoon was formed in the Aichi Prefecture in Japan. They started out by playing lives and became a huge hit. At one live performance, a rumor went around that admission was free and the concert was a sell out! Soon afterwards, they also recieved a change to participate in the event "Kick out the Rock Show". They also contributed to the "New Generation Rock" compilation album as a Nagoya representative. It was after the release of this album that the band name officially became Redballoon.
In February 2005, the band recorded their first mini album " 24/7 " and were quite successful! That summer they participated in festivals like "Treasure 052" and "Tokyo 2005".
The band is currently releasing works under CAM Records, an Indies recording company. They just released their first album at the end of 2005 and are still trying to become a major rock band.

My Thoughts
I like Redballoon a lot. They are still very much a new band and have a lot of work ahead of them. Their music is fresh and has a great punk rock feel to it. Koji also has a great voice. You have to give him props for being the only guitar player and yet being able to make that a prominent sound in the music while singing at the same time. Definitely check this new band out!
