Born November 26, 1975, in Osaka, Japan, she was said to be brough up in a normal Japanese enviroment. As she grew up, she began to come under the influence of jazz, R&B, soul, gospel, and reggae. It was from reggae that she felt a strong power of expression and a sharpness. It was after she felt this power that she wanted to sing.She began trying to start her career in 1995, joined a hip-hop group in 1998, and had her solo debuted in 1999. Since then, she has worked with many Jamaican artists. As she moves on, she’s performing lives and her albums have even made the top ten. She’s always saying that her music is not only restricted to one genre, it is all for expression.
