Definition: Psychedelic music holds some origins in the effects of heavy drug use during the 1960's and 1970's in America; however, psychedelic music today is rarely inspired by this. The definition has changed over the generations to a much broader sense of surreal lyrics, studio effects, and unconventional melody lines.
