Profile
Prototype was formed in 1994 by Kragan and Vince. They hired two musicians and composed their first demo called "Seed". In 1997, while working on the mini album "Cloned", they were able to aquire Pat Magrath as their official drummer. Two years later, Kirk Scherer joined as a bass played.
Prototypes album "Trinity" caught the attention of WWIII record label. Prototype got a contract with the label and released their album in both South America and the US. Shortly afterwards their drummer left the band and Damion Ramirez filled in the spot as the new drummer. In 2003, the band went on an European tour and won the hearts of several fans. The label Luckily Massacre Records worked with the band and released "Trinity" in Europe shortly afterwards.
Prototype has just finished a new album titled "Continuum" which was released April 2006 by Metal Axe Records in Europe, and Nightmare Records in the USA.

My Thoughts
I found Prototype to be rather average. I think the vocals definitely need some work. They are still very rough and somewhat amatuerish. The background music is average. It just seems like the band lacks the experience needed to have that polished feel.
