Profile

Preuve D’etre was formed in February 1997 by Aisher (ex-Dőress) as he wanted to persue darker music. Along with starting this new project, Aisher also changed his name to Guilt and began performing live in August of that year with support members. The band has had various line-up changes, with support members including Ao (ex-cali‚gari) and HERESY (ex-JUBILEE). The most recent line-up was Guilt (Vo. & Prog.), Mukuro (Gt.) and Ayane (Per.). Guilt is now also in the band Nicht as Ibaragi.

Thoughts

I have only heard Preuve D’etre live (it’s very difficult to find information about this band, let alone CDs, all of which were limited releases) and whilst they’re not the most energetic of bands, their performance suits their music very well and I thought they were good. Their music is a combination of rock, gothic and classical, with hints of dark electro-industrial thrown into it as well. Guilt also has a good stage presence and is very into the music when he performs. If you like gothic music, and you can actually find their CDs or go to one of their lives, definitely check out Preuve D’etre.
