Porno Graffiti was first formed in 1995. The band was fairly successful early on, winning many small contests and prizes. In 1997, they got a contract with Sony and debuted with their single Apollo in 1999. Since then Porno Graffiti has been extremely successful. Their two albums Best Blue’s and Best Red’s scored the top 9 and 10 spot out of the best 100 albums for the year 2004! In addition, their newest album THUMP x has been on Oricon’s chart for over a month so far! Porno Graffiti has also had the opportunity to do the opening for Full Metal Alchemist.Thoughts
Porno Graffiti has some great hits that are a must listen! Okano has a very unique voice that can’t be compared to any other singer on the market. A lot of his slow songs will make you just melt :) Overall, Porno Graffiti tends to do a combination of pop and ballad songs. Some songs like Heart are absolutely beautiful and melodic. On the other hand, songs like Music Hour are funky, fun, and entertaining to listen to. Listen to the sample and you’ll see what I mean ;)akfgfan
