Profile

Formed in Tokyo by a group of 10 young girls who all met in music school, Pistol Valve is a very unique band. Creating a sound that attempts to blend rock, pop, and hip-hop with the use of brass instruments, the band got their first chance at stardom when they were featured on FUJI-TV’s "The Best House 1-2-3". Since then, their popularity has risen dramatically. Well known for their street performances, this band has also had the opportunity to play in the United States, participating in SXSW’s Japan Nite Tour 2007.

Thoughts

Looking for a fun, comtemporary jazz band? Look no further! Pistol Valve has some great tunes you’ll enjoy a lot. Their songs have fun themes (ie. Flap Up Elephant), and each musician is quite talented. Often times they will throw in vocals in their songs as well. Definitely check them out!
