All four guys, Hakuei, Chisato, Gisho and O-Jiro have been friends for a long time. All of them graduated from the very same college, Tokai University with diplomas. After graduating, they had a concept of a band "kakkoii band ga yaritai". So on the 14th of February 1992, the three formed the band Penicillin (Hakuei joined a year later). They played at many live houses for experience and were loved by many girls. They all look like women with their heavy make up, except for Gisho, who maintained a guy look. Hakuei and Gisho were the couple of the band. They were always together and even kissed on stage. In 1994 Media Youth guitarist, Kiyoshi helped produced their 1st album [Penicillin Shock].

Thoughts

Penicillin came off to me as an average visual kei group. The vocals are very rough, and really nothing special. The music also comes off generic for a visual kei band.
