Profile
First starting due to the eventful meeting between Scottish American MARTIN and TOSHI-LOW, frontman of the Japanese alternative punk band BRAHMAN, OVERGROUND ACOUSTIC UNDERGROUND was practically built around the two people of that meeting. The rest of the members of the band were filled by KAKUBEI who was a friend of MARTIN and KOHKI, MAKOTO, and RONZI who were bandmates of TOSHI-LOW in BRAHMAN. Getting their first opportunity for a recording and for a live performance the same year they formed, the band demonstrated a sound unlike any other band in Japan. Using MARTINs background, OVERGROUND ACOUSTIC UNDERGROUND was able to create an acoustic sound comparable to Celtic folk music. In the following year after their debut, the band released their first album and participated in FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL and ROCK IN JAPAN FESTIVAL. Later on that year, they also had their first tour in Japan. Since then, they have participated at many of the large summer rock festivals and had many successful lives.

Thoughts
This is a really great band. Their use of acoustic instruments gives their songs great musical depth. The vocals arent too shabby either, giving this band a great acoustic/folk sound. I highly recommend this band!
