Definition: Nu-metal is probably one of the newest subgenres of metal, starting in the mid 1990s. It is a very versatile genre combining elements of heavy rock and metal, with hip hop influenced drumming. Originally coined by bands like Korn to define their style, it has caused a bit of controversary when defining artists because of the freedom they have to express their music.Nu-Metal Bands
