Profile
Nakashima Yumi, often known as Nakashima Yuu, decided during middle school that her dream was to be in a band. Her dream came true at the end of high school when she met Akko (ex. Jellyfish, and fellow member of Go!Go!7188). Together with three other friends, they formed the band Jellyfish, which performed cover songs by Judy and Mary. The band lasted for a few years, and after its disbandment, Akko and Yuu continued to create music together. Akko began to work on the composition of songs while Yuu wrote and sung their songs.
The two went to junior college and worked on music in their spare time. Coincidentally, they met a drummer named Turkey and the three got along together very well. They decided to form a new band, now formally known as Go!Go!7188.
In her spare time, Yuu also began to work on a solo career. She debuted in 2004 with the solo album "Ten no Mikaku". In addition to her solo career, she took on the role of forming another band in 2005 called Chirinuruwowaka. She still actively participates in both bands today.

Thoughts
Yumi is a pretty energetic singer. Her vocals are a bit high pitched, so sometimes that can come off as a bit annoying in some songs. Her vocals are quite unique though because they have a traditional Japanese sound to them. Definitely check her and her bands out!
