monobright Vocals/Guitar: Yousuke Momono Guitar: Shougo Matsushita Bass: Hiroyuki Ideguchi Drums: Tsubasa Takidani Started: 2006 Status: Active ProfileGetting their name from a combination of the frontman’s surname and hi-lite, a brand of cigarettes he smoked, the Japanese rock band monobright was originally formed by a group of classmates of the art college in Sapporo. All of the members of monobright are natives of Hokkaido. The unique gimmick that the band is mainly known for is that all the members typically dress in matching white polo shirts and black jeans. Also, all of the members wear glasses. Through their high-energy lives and catchy music, the band was able to make their presence known in the Japanese rock scene very quickly and was also signed to the major label DefSTAR Records only a year after forming. They released their debut major album later on that year.Kamikazen Thoughtsmonobright is an okay rock band. They have some nice songs like "Atama no Naka no SOS" that have catchy beats; however, overall there is nothing that really sets this band apart from the many other rock bands out there.
