Miho Hatori first began her music career in the early 1990’s when she traveled to New York to study art. Struggling to express herself through English, she turned to music. She formed a punk band called Laito Lychee and was featured as the vocalist. Soon after, she met the artist Yuka Honda, whom she would form the band Cibo Matto with.Miho met much success with Cibo Matto. Their first album, Viva La Woman!, was ranked as one of the top 90 albums of the 90’s according to Spin Magazine. Over the years, Miho was also presented with the opportunity to work with artists like Beastie Boys, John Zorn, and Stephin Merritt.
In 2004, Miho decided that she wanted to try creating a solo work that was different from anything she had done thus far. After two years, her first solo album titled Ecdysis was released to the international market. The album features her own lyrics, vocalist, and compositions!
