Metronome is a gamewave/visual kei band that was formed in 1998. They claimed to have come from the year 2005 to boost their record sales.

Metronome began in August 1998. Throughout the course of their history, they have quite a few lineup changes. Despite the lineup changes, the band released their first demo 8bit girls bravo. However just a few months later, they found themselves without an official bassist, due to more band problems.

In 2000, Metronome held their first concert. However, during this year, Kemumaki decided to leave the band and Metronome was left without a drummer. Despite not having a drummer and bassist, Metronome persisted, and put out two more demos, and launched another tour.

In April of that year, Metronome found their new bassist, Riu. They also released two versions of their new maxi-single titled Kuro (Black) and Shirogane (Silver). Though they have the same songs, they are in different order.

After their maxi-single, Metronome found Yuichiro, their drummer. Then in 2003, they released their first album, 1 Metronome (Under Tricycle Records). In 2005, Metronome has been touring furiously, with many famous bands in the Japanese scene including Fatima, Jinkaku Radio, and D�fespairsRay. They toured straight up until December 31st.

Also, it’s looking very bright for Metronome in ‘06. They’ve given performance after performance, and are gaining a very big following in Japan’s underground scenes.

Alright, Metronome is a very very odd band! Their music incorporates a lot of random electronic sounds and their lyrics are very simplistic. Overall their music has a very odd feeling to it. It is quite amusing to listen to though :D
