Madeth Gray’ll was first formed by Hisui (V), Izumi (G), Yukina (B), Reika (D). Back then, Yukina was the band leader. In October of 1997, they released their first demo tape: "Norowareshi Hana no Seimei", and then the next two following months: "Luroshouzoku no Shirabe" and "Missantroop". In March of 2000, they released their first full length album: "Lucifer" and with this, they add another guitarist (Airi). Although only a rumor, it had been said one of their guitarists died a tragic death while driving to hide’s funeral, although I do not really know. Do not hold me up on that one. Hisui, during a live concert on November 28th, announced that Yukina is leaving the band and Madeth Gray’ll will be no more. January 29th, the band play their final live performance and distributed their last album: "Higeki no Shuumaku".

Thoughts

Madeth Gray'll is a interesting band. Hisui has a very low key, haunting voice that makes quite a impression. The other players in the band are fairly good and have created some intricate melodies to songs. Missantroop is a great example of this. There is a very clever rhythm between the drums, guitar, and bass. Enjoy the samples below.
