Profile
Formed in Yokosuka City in 1996, mach25 (originally known as Manami25) quickly rose in the music scene. By 1999, they had made their major debut with the single "Play Ground". They began to perform and work with major musicians like members of Dragon Ash, who later helped produce their smash single "Sons of the Sun" in 2002.
mach25s luck came a screetching halt July 2002, when Shakkan Bass was arrested for drug use. To avoid embarassing and ruining the bands reputation, he left the band. The band announced that they would continue to play despite the loss.
Under the new name, mach25, the band revived their career in March 2004, with the mini album "Headway". In addition, the band also released a best of album, "Best, Last, and Lost". Shortly after its release though, they shocked fans with the announcement that they were going to dissolve the band. mach25 officially disbanded in July 2004.
Since the disbandment, many of the members have continued to be active musicians. Passer and Yuichi joined with Ryo to form the band LOONIE, which debuted in 2006. Hunter and Shakkan Bass formed a new band called YxCxHxC. They too released a demo cd in 2006. Tomo traveled to America for a while, and is now back in Japan trying to get back into the music scene.

Thoughts
mach25 was a fairly decent band. Their music had a nice feel, and occasionally featured influences from reggae music. As vocalists, they were average. Either way though, it is a shame that they did break up.
