Profile

Lunkhead was first formed in 1999 right before its four members graduated from high school. For the first couple of years, the band focused mostly on doing live performances. Finally in May 2003, Lunkhead released their first mini-album! It was a big hit, ranking in the top 20 at Shibuya’s Tower Records for three weeks straight! In October, the band released their first single, which ranked #2 at Space Shower and Tower Records. The band was doing extremely well! Their concerts began to sell out, and E.V.Junkie did a tv special about the band. In 2004, Lunkhead released their first album. It was again presented with much success. This year Lunkhead released a new single and album!

Thoughts

Lunkhead is a great band that unfortunately isn’t very well known by international fans. Their rock music has a great beat that is followed up with nice guitar melodies. Moreover, Odaka has a great voice! Below is a great song called Shiroi Koe. Enjoy!
