Profile

Luinspear was formed in Sendai in 1999. They tended to create very beautiful and simple melodies, with very solid vocals. They weren’t around for a long time, however they did release the demo tapes G-CROSS and White Kiss. They also released the singles Isis~Ai Sono ni Bisuimu Miwaku no Hana, Luvis, and Yami to Tsuki.

After the singles, the band only had Jui and Aki in it. They tried to keep going, however they couldn’t find support members and decided to disband in 2001. After they disbanded, the band became more popular when Jui went to Vidoll and Ruka to Nightmare.

After the band Jui went on to join Vidoll, Aki joined Bishop, Camus joined Awent, and Ruka joined Nightmare. Also, Jui and Ruka work in a session band named Jururito with Kazuki on bass and Sakito on guitar.

Thoughts

Luinspear’s music is very simple, putting a lot of emphasis on the vocals. I thought their music was quite decent, and with more complex melodies it would have been spectacular. Unfortunately this band didn’t get much of a chance to grow musically.
