Lee Hyori, a Korean Singer is also known by "Lee Hyo-Ri" & "Lee Hyo-lee". She was born on May 10, 1979. She was a part of the K-pop group Fin. K.L., but went solo in 2003.

She debuted with Fin. K.L. in 1988 with "Blue Rain" and they enjoyed moderate sucess. She was the leader of the group since she was the oldest member even though she was the last to join. An interesting story is that she was discovered taking pictures with her friends.

After she turned solo, she won at the Daesangs, the most well known of Korean music awards. So sucessful that the Korean media dubbed 2003 the "Year of Hyori". Rarely was she out of the news during the whole year. Besides singing, she also got to act on the show "Three Leaf Clover", and is a model/spokeswoman for Samsung, among other companies.

Still going strong, a new album is supposed to be released this month.

My Thoughts

Lee Hyori has a good voice. She focuses primarily on RnB beats. Her music sounds like your generic club music. Its good, but nothing really special to me.
