Profile

Kozi is a Visual Kei artist. He started his music career in the late 1980s with two bands, Girl, and Beyond the Reinsight. He was in Matenrou together with Mana, in 1991 and the band released two demo tapes. Both Mana and Kozi shared same vision and ideas about creating music and they left the band soon after in 1992 to form Malice Mizer.

After the disbandment of Malice Mizer in 2001, he joined Haruhiko Ash to form Eve of Destiny, an industrial band. They toured outside of Japan and have also performed in Europe.

Kozi never reveal either his real name, date of birth or details concerning his private life. He was assumed to be interested in sado-masochism and is an eyeball fetish, due to his lyrical content in his works.

My Thoughts

I must admit, I wasn’t too found of Kozi. The singing was average, but the music was quite odd. It has a very eerie tone to it that makes you uneasy. I personally didn’t care for it.
