Formed in 1997, the King Brothers is a Japanese rock band. Beginning activities in 1998 under the indie rock scene in New York City, the band a stroke a label deal with Bulb Record and released their first album "The King Brothers." After a tour in the US in 1999, they released their the album titled " ******* ", and in 2000 the band had its first Japan concert.
In 2001 they obtained a label deal with the Japanese label Toshiba Records, followed by the release of the album "rainbow". The band collaborated with the rock band Elephant Kashimashi in 2003, and in the same year the member Jun left the band. He was replaced by support member Shinji, but he also left in 2006. The band has continue to carry activities with the new members Shinnosuke on bass and Taichi on drums.

Thoughts
The King Brothers is a hard core rock band. Several of their songs border on becoming metal, featuring screaming vocals and hard strummed melodies. This band is not for those light at heart, and they are known for their crazy live performances.
