Ken Ishii first started his career as a DJ in 1993. He often releases works under the names: FLR, Flare, UTU, Yoga, and Rising Sun. He debuted on the Belgian techno label, R & S Records and ranked number one on the UK’s NME magazine techno chart!In 1995 he recieved the MTV Dance Video of the Year for the song "Extra". He also composed the music for the opening ceremony of the 1998 Winter Olympics in Nagano, which played in over 70 countries. To say the least, Ken Ishii has been very successful. Newsweek magazine coined Ken Ishii as a symbol of Japan’s modern culture. Ken has also proved to be a very talented DJ by winning the best techno DJ at the Dance Music Awards in Ibiza, Spain. In his spare time, he also managed to set up his own record label called 70.

Thoughts
Ken Ishii is a fairly good DJ. His music is very creative and always maintains a good rhythm. Sometimes the music gets a bit repetitive, but overall it was good.Click to read/add your opinion!
