Profile
When Chieko saw Amuro Namie perform when she was in the 4th grade, she inspired her to become a singer also. "When I was in 4th grade, I saw Amuro Namie-san and thought, One of these days, I want to become a singer..."
She started to be in the entertainment business since she was 12 years old. She starred in a show called, "Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon" as a girl named Osaka Naru. Later, she started to be placed on Magazine ads for their talent agency, Theatre Academy. In the year 2000, she became Sailor Mercury in a Sailor Moon stage musical. Years later, after becoming an exclusive model for "Love Berry" , a fashion magazine, she started to become popular. She made a DVD called, POP! and was featured in movies like "Mou Hitori Iru". She began to sing and dance live at Lvoe Berry's fashion shows every year to hold on to her dream of becoming a professional singer. That's when she started to be noticed by the fans of Love Berry's and released her first single, 15 no Blues with a LB model, Mizuho Oda. In the year 2004 she was able to get a record contract with Vap and she released her first solo single "Be Your Girl". She had released three singles total: "Be your Girl", "Shining!" and "Kizunairo". Her song "I Can't Wait" is now the Japanese theme song to the show, Lizzie McGuire and her song "Be your Girl" was featured in the anime, Elfen Lied. Now, at the age of 18 she released her first album, "Brilliance."

My Thoughts
I was fairly impressed with Kawabe Chieko. She is a fairly new artist, so her vocals could be polished a bit. Overall though, she is very kawaii and her songs are good. I especially like the song "Be Your Girl", which was used for the Lizzie McGuire show :)
