Kaela Kimura was born in Tokyo, Japan. Her father is British while her mother is Japanese. Kaela began working as a model in 2002 for the Japanese magazine called Seventeen. Her personality and may I not forget her looks, gave her the chance to present the very popular show called Morning Television show ‘Saku Saku’ which went on for about April 14, 2003 - March 31, 2006.
She gained major exposure through the show. She released her debut single Level 42 on June 23, 2004. The song was used for ‘Saku Saku’. Her album KAELA followed on December 8, 2004. Ater her third single ‘Riruha Riruha’ her fanbase grew considerably. The song was used for various commercials which were all from Vodafone. That made her a huge household name. Kaela also sung "Pretty Woman" the theme song of the 2006 drama series Attention Please.

Thoughts
I’m on the fence with Kaela Kimura. She has a great voice, but her music doesn’t always fit her voice. I Hug has a folk like sound and just doesn’t sound good with her voice. Real Life Real Heart on the other hand sounds great. If she sticked with upbeat, rockish songs then I think she would become very popular.Click to read/add your opinion!
