Profile
Since the age of 12, JUJU had aspired to be a jazz singer. When she turned 18, she traveled to New York and was exposed to a variety of RnB, hip hop, soul, latin, and jazz music. She began to work with jazz musicians and received a lot of praise. By 2001, she had participated in ten tunes including the theme song for a movie. Word about JUJU began to spread, and she soon began to recieve offers from several major record labels in Japan. As a result, she only stayed in New York for two more years.
After her return to Japan, she began to release several singles and became the topic of many FM stations. Her song "Come, Fly with Me" was selected as the theme song of the movie "Jam Films S" in 2005. She held her first live performance in Japan later that year, and also continued to actively participate in the music scene in New York.
In 2006, her first single in almost two years, "Hope for a Miracle" stayed on the USEN synthesis chart for 22 weeks! Her releases following this continued to rank in the top 5 upon debut, and often stayed on the charts for several days to weeks.
JUJU is still continuing to release new songs, with much success. In addition, she now is a manager for a street brand in New York!

Thoughts
JUJU is a very good singer with a deep, soulful voice. Her music ranges from modern jazz to comtemporary blues, with her vocals always as the focus. Her modern take on old genres makes her very likable to both jazz and pop fans. I highly recommend her!
