After this they released their video, Moody Radio Theatre. (which was only sold at concerts, and only 100 copies exist.) Shortly after, a song of theirs got released on the compilation disc Yougenkyou II, which greatly boosted their fanbase.
In June, Mai joins the band as a support drummer. (known as "Half-Radio" by the band) They also release their first maxi single, Kairo. It was very popular and a 2nd press version was released very soon after. (The two dogs on the albums cover are actually Naoki and Yuukis dogs.)
With the success of their single, theyre featured on the compilation album Shock Edge 2002. In April, 2003 Jinkaku Radio releases their first album Shouko, and went on tour immediately after. However, their former guitarist Maya decided not to participate in making the album and left the band shortly afterwords. Jinkaku Radio found a support guitarist named Rai, who helped them record the album.
After the concerts, Jinkaku Radio releases their second single, Yuuhodou which reached number 10 on the indies Oricon charts!
Shortly afterwords however, Mai decided to leave the band. Jinkaku Radio now had to search for a new support drummer. They went on an official hiatus for a time, but ended up finding a new support drummer named Shin.
After a year of no new releases, Jinkaku Radio released Ubasuteyama, their new single. With the release of this album they toned down their heavy Visual Kei image, in favor of a more conservative (but still Visual) look. After the release of this, they went on a nationwide tour and held three one man concerts towards the end. The band also announced they would be releasing a new single under the label Danger Crue, which is a sub-division of Sony Japan. (Before this, they had released all their albums and recordings themselves!)
