Profile

Formed in 2005, visual/rock band Hitotsume consists of members Misutaa, Sanji,, Kei and Kairi. They have played various lives in Japan since their formation, alongside artists such as Juka, Sugar, AILE, Metronome, PureQ&A, Metis Gretel and Spider Lily at venues such as Takadanobaba Area, Holiday Shinjuku and Yokohama 7th Avenue.

The band are steadily growing in popularity and have announced plans to release a new CD in January 2008.

Thoughts

Hitotsume are quite a good band, despite sounding similar to a few other artists. Misutaa’s vocals sound interesting, going from melodic singing to shouting to soft, high-pitched sounds, and even though he’s a little off on some notes, it adds to their music greatly. Hitotsume are also quite entertaining live and put a lot of effort into their performance. I recommend this band if you like lighter visual rock music.
