Profile
HITOMITOI, a popular Hokkaido-born Japanese singer, brings a unique sense of style to her music that well surpasses her roots. Taught professionally in the ways of music since high school and through college, this vocalist has a wealth of musical experience. She has also had experience traveling oversees since her early childhood, spending a significant amount of time in New York. It was there that she began building up a vocal sound that is very similar to singers of an American jazz/R&B background through experimentation and collaboration with local artists. Through this, HITOMITOI has developed a musical style that not many Japanese vocalists can successfully mimic. This drew the attention of talent scouts and, in 2002, she released her first single "Kemuri Shoku no Koibito Tachi" in Japan which received radio play nationwide. Releasing 2 more singles that year, her success eventually led to the release of her first album " 360 Degrees" in 2003. Only two years after her first album release, HITOMITOI released her first major album "Synchronized Swimming" off the label Tokuma Japan Communications (TJC) in 2005. Since then, HITOMITOI has only had continued success. In 2007, she released her best-of abum "TOICOLLE" and released the single "Dont Be Cruel", which was chosen as the theme song for the Japanese release of the Disney cartoon Lilo & Stitch.

Thoughts
I was not very impressed with HITOMITOI. Her vocals dont have a great range, and there is no sense of genuiness in her songs. In addition, her songs are mediocre at best. Overall, I found her to be very disappointing.
