Profile
Hi-Standard is a punk rock band that formed in 1991. They made their major debut in 1995 with the album "Growing Up". It wasnt until 1999 though with the release "Making the Road" that their popularity sky rocketed. The albums release led to sold out shows in Japan and an US/European tour with bands like NOFX.
Sadly, in August 2000, the band went into hiatus. Ken Yokohama began working with BBQ Chickens and the Ken Band. There is no word on whether this band will reform.

Thoughts
Hi-Standard is an high energy, punk band with a lot of spirit. Their songs are very fun to sing and listen to. If you watch their old PVs, it is obvious that they really enjoyed what they did. Its a shame that they broke up. Please check them out!
