Profile

Head Phones President first debuted in 2000 with Anza, Mar, Hiro, and Kawady (who later left them). The band is sometimes linked to sounding like Korn with a half-Japanese female vocalist (Anza). After Kawady left them, they went through two bassists before they met Narumi. They also lost their drummer, Okaji, in 2005.

Head Phones President was formed after Anza left the group SeraMyu in 1998 and then tried a solo career for two years. The band is still going strong today and has also toured the US.

My Thoughts

Head Phones President is a powerful metal band with a female vocalist. As far as metal bands go, they are definitely up there with the best. Their songs have unique melodies and their players are very talented. Anza’s vocals are a hit and miss sometimes though. Sometimes it sounds like her voice isn’t strong enough to blend with the music.
